The Insta360 X5 takes 360° video capture to the next level. With large 1/1.28” image sensors (144% larger than the ones on X3 and X4), it delivers amazing image quality even in low light. The new AI-based PureVideo mode reduces noise and enhances dynamic range for night shots.
A major upgrade is the introduction of replaceable lenses — if they get scratched, just swap them out at home for only $30. The lenses are made from high-strength, scratch-resistant glass, and field-replaceable lens guards are also available.
The X5 supports 8K video at 30fps, 5.7K at 60fps, and 4K up to 120fps. Active HDR now works up to 5.7K 60fps. The new Triple AI Chip system boosts processing power by 140% compared to the X4.
The InstaFrame function records two videos at once: one instantly ready for social media (flat or auto-tracked), and a full 360° clip (up to 5.7K 30fps) for later editing.
Take the X5 anywhere: now rated IP68, it can dive up to 15 meters without a dive case. A new stainless steel mesh Wind Guard and updated audio algorithms ensure cleaner sound in windy conditions.
Battery life is improved with a 2,400mAh battery, offering up to 187 minutes of 5.7K 24fps recording and 88 minutes at 8K 30fps. It supports fast charging: 80% in 20 minutes, 100% in just 35 minutes with a 30W USB-C charger.
Also available: a mini wireless mic that clips to clothing and doubles as a remote — perfect when the camera is mounted on a long (up to 3m) invisible selfie stick.
