3 Pool Sessions
Main Contents of the AIDA 1 Course:
Theory Part:
•Introduction to freediving: what it is and why it’s useful.
•Basic knowledge of breathing and breath-holding.
•Overview of freediving equipment.
•Importance of relaxation and breath control.
•Principles of diving safety.
Practical Part:
•Relaxation techniques and breathing preparation.
•Initial practice of static apnea (STA).
•Basics of dynamic swimming (DYN) – fin swimming.
•First shallow dives (in the pool or open water).
•Basic pressure equalization skills (simple ear equalization techniques).
AIDA 1 Certification:
To successfully complete the course and receive the certification, the participant must:
•Static Apnea (STA): Hold the breath for at least 1 minute and 30 seconds.
•Dynamic Apnea (DYN): Swim at least 25 meters underwater.
•Open Water Dive (if included): Reach a depth of 5–10 meters.
•Technique: Learn basic pressure equalization techniques.
•Safety: Demonstrate basic safety protocols, including buddy escort and surface support.

After successfully completing AIDA 1, you will have the basic knowledge and skills to feel safe in the water and begin your exciting journey into the world of freediving.
